    Our leader of this exceptional team is ready to help in any way! She enjoys her spare time with her numerous fur babies.
  • Stacy - Hospital Administrative Assistant
    Stacy joined Capital Veterinary Specialists, JAX in September 2015. She has worked in the veterinary profession for over 15 years. Stacy shares her home with her husband of 18 years, Will, and their 3 wonderful children. She is also the proud mother of a rescue Pitbull/ Boxer mix named Koko. She enjoys cheering on her children during their basketball games in her free time. She is also an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and travels home to Georgia to visit family when she can.
  • Julie - Reception Team Leader
    Julie is a Jacksonville native. She joined Capital Veterinary Specialists, JAX in October 2015. Julie shares her home with her husband of 18 years, Gene, and their 2 boys. She has 2 Vizsla lap dogs named Callie and Ridge. In her free time, Julie enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
  • Jennifer D. - Receptionist

    Jennifer is a native of Los Angeles, CA and recently moved to the Jacksonville area. Prior to joining Capital Veterinary Specialists, JAX in September of 2016, she worked for a multi-specialty Emergency and Referral Hospital practice in Los Angeles. Her primary responsibility was ensuring clients and patients received service and care that exceeded their expectations. Overall, she brings 13 years of client service experience, supporting the fact that her passion for client and patient service is what drives her and continues to inspire her on a daily basis. When not at work, Jennifer enjoys running, cooking, and exploring her new surroundings in Jacksonville. She shares her home with her partner Eric and their two cats, Mimi and Lucy.

  • Kim - Receptionist

    Kim is originally from Charleston, SC but has called Jacksonville home for the last 13 years.  She joined the veterinary workforce after moving to the Sunshine State.  She truly loves working with the four-legged community and is dedicated to providing compassionate care for their owners.  She has a large fur family at home and is the proud parent of 4 dogs and and 6 cats.  On the weekends, Kim enjoys spending time at the beach, boating, and grilling outdoors.

  • Summer - Receptionist

    Summer has been with Capital Veterinary Specialists Jax for the last year.  She loves working with animals and wants to pursue a career in the veterinary field.  She is the proud mother of a one year old, human baby named Joseph and a fur baby named Simba. She spends all of her free time spoiling both baby Joseph and Simba. 

  • Tanya - Receptionist

    Tanya is a Pennsylvania native but has lived in the Sunshine State for the last 20 years. She has been in the veterinary field for nearly a decade and is a trained veterinary technician in addition to being a receptionist.  She recently married her sweetheart in the Florida Keys. Tanya and her husband share their home with their two cats, Benjamin and Luna.  In her free time, Tanya enjoys exploring our state's beautiful parks.

  • Wanda - Receptionist
    Wanda joined Capital veterinary Specialists, JAX in February of 2015 with over 19 years of veterinary specialty experience. Wanda shares her home with her husband Terry and their 2 fur babies, Charlie, a yellow Lab, and Midnight, a white kitty. In her free time, Wanda enjoys cheering on her home town team, the Kentucky Wildcats, and Face-timing her beautiful granddaughter.
  • Kate - Internal Medicine Team Leader
    Kate is originally from Tennessee but has been enjoying the Florida Sunshine for the last 8 years. She has been a veterinary technician since 2006 and has 8 years of experience in specialist fields of medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine. Outside of Capital Veterinary Specialists, Kate enjoys photography, watching college football, and being outdoors. She is the proud owner of two Terriers, Captain and Beaux, and a one-eyed rescue named Bruiser.
  • Jennifier - Internal Medicine Technician
    Jennifer is originally from Buffalo, New York. She moved to Florida 16 years ago and began her veterinary career in general practice. Jennifer began with a focus on shelter medicine in an effort to broaden her knowledge base. She transitioned into the specialist field in 2008 working in the field of Internal Medicine. She particularly enjoys intensive nursing and caring for animals on their road to recovery. Jennifer also enjoys scrapbooking, dancing, and enjoying the Florida sunshine. She and her son share an immense love for all animals, and, together, they care for Anabelle (a rescued Beagle/ Australian Shepherd mix), Butter (a rescued Pitbull mix), and Gomez (a rescued DSH cat).
  • Kelly - Medicine Technician

    Kelly is originally from Clearwater, FL but has called Jacksonville home for the last 5 years.  She joined the veterinary profession 4 years ago and loves having the opportunity to learn something new every day in small animal medicine.  On the weekends, she and her husband enjoy outdoor pursuits including hiking, exploring state parks, and kayaking.  At home she is surrounded by 3 adoring fur babies - her cats Sadie, Lou, and Fenn.

  • Monica - Medicine Technician
    Monica began working in the veterinary field in 1997. She took a few years off when she had her three children. She rejoined the workforce in 2003. Monica has extensive experience in the Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Dermatological Specialties. Monica is an avid animal lover and has had the pleasure of sharing her life with many exotic pets. She has been a board member of the Jacksonville Herpetological Society since 2012 where her focus has been on public education, wildlife preservation and the special role reptiles and amphibians play in the environment. She is currently doing volunteer work for the U.S. Geological Survey on frog populations. She is also a member of Bat Conservation International.
  • Angelina "Lina" - Critical Care Team Leader, CVT

    Angelina, AKA Lina, is originally from St. Paul Minnesota. She moved to Jacksonville in 2011 to escape the cold and to further her career. Lina has her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology and has her B.A.S. degree in Veterinary Technology. Lina is a Certified Veterinary Technician through the Florida Veterinary Technician Association. In her spare time, Lina and her husband Brandon enjoy taking care of their fur babies. They are the proud parents of a French Bulldog named Minion, a Devon Rex named Yoda, and a tuxedeo DSH named Renegade.

  • Angelica - Critical Care Technician

    Angel is part of a military family 3 generations deep and proudly serves as a member of the Naval Reserve.  Within the service, she is a Master at Arms and has been involved in training military service dogs.  She has been working with animals since the age of 17 and has loved honing her veterinary technical skills at Capital Veterinary Specialists Jax. In her free time, she enjoys sharpening her skills at the range.  At home, Angel is surrounded by a large fur family with 2 dogs (Emmie and Ollie), 3 cats (Meeko, Burrito, and Lawrence), and a rat named Maggie.

  • Cristina - Critical Care Technician

    Cristina moved to Jacksonville one year ago from the North Carolina area.  She has been in the veterinary field for 5 years and is currently studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of North Florida.  She and her husband are the proud parents of 2 dogs named Bo and Tucker, a cat named Gato, and a hedgehog named Harley Quill.  When she is not working, Cristina can either be found at the gym working out or at the library studying for her exams.  She also enjoys singing Opera in her free time. 

  • Kristi - Critical Care Technician

    Kristi was born in Pennsylvania but has lived in Jacksonville most of her life.  She entered the veterinary workforce after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Central Florida. She has been an animal lover all of her life and is devoted to her own pampered pet named Lizzy, a Miniature Dachshund.  In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking and spending time at the beach.

  • Michelle - Critical Care Technician

    Michelle is originally from Daytona but has lived in Jacksonville for a number of years.  She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Florida. She is a seasoned technician having been in the veterinary field for over 6 years. She is truly passionate about animals.  She is the proud mother of a dog named Copper and 2 cats named Tom and Jerry.  On the weekends, she enjoys boating, cooking, and curling up with her fur babies to watch movies.

  • Christian - Rehabilitation Technician
    Christian has been working in the field of veterinary medicine since 2007. He works with our surgical team and particularly loves his involvement in canine and feline rehabilitation at Capital Veterinary Specialists, JAX. In his spare time, Christian works with various rescue groups and enjoys fostering (and sometimes adopting!) special-needs pets. He also enjoys numerous outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and surfing.
  • Laurelee - Surgery Team Leader
    Laurelee is from Orlando, Florida but mostly grew up in Camden County Georgia. She joined the Capital Veterinary Specialists, JAX team in May of 2015, and she brings 4 years of experience in the veterinary field. She truly enjoys working with the surgical staff. When she's not at work, she enjoy's family time, makeup, video games, and spending time with her 3 dogs.
  • Emily - Surgery Technician
    Emily grew up in Boca Raton, Florida and joined the Capital Veterinary Specialists, JAX team in February of 2016. She brings 8 years of experience with her - 2 of which were in a specialty setting. She has two dogs named Trixie and Penelope and a cat named Cheettoh (who is really a dog disguised as an orange tabby!). She takes advantage of her days off by enjoying Bikram and SUP Yoga, hunting for sharks teeth, and just enjoying the outdoors in general.
  • Evan - Surgery Technician

    Evan is originally from Long Island, NY but is now happy to call Jacksonville home.  He has been working with animals since the age of 14 and has found his calling in our surgery and anesthesia department.  Evan is the proud father of a gorgeous, little Maltese named Cora and Jack-Jack, an adorable, domestic shorthair cat.  Evan and his fiancee are film fanatics and can be found at the theater most opening nights.

  • Jason - Surgery Technician
    Jason is a native of Florida and has over 13 years of experience in veterinary medicine. He has worked in all fields of veterinary medicine including general practice and small animal surgery. Jason's work interests include surgical diseases, fracture repairs, and advanced instrumentation. Jason enjoys outdoor activities including surfing, snowboarding, fishing, and camping.
  • Jessica - Surgery Technician

    Jessica hails from Kingsland, GA.  She has been in the veterinary field for 5 years and has an Associates Degree in Animal Science.  She has 5 dogs and 3 cats.  She enjoys fishing and riding horses in her free time.

  • Krystle - Surgery Technician
    Surgery

    Krystle is a native Floridian and was raised in Middleburg, Florida. She is a former active Military service member and served in the United States Army as a veterinary technician.  She has been in the veterinary field for 12 years and carries a wide range of experience having worked in areas ranging from research, exotics, marine life, general practice, and now specialty surgery. In her free time, Krystle enjoys writing short stories and reading.  She also spends a large amount of time caring for her menagerie which includes 5 dogs, 2 cats, and 19 reptiles (snakes, flying geckos, and skinks). 

  • Phil - Surgery Technician

    Phil grew up in the Jacksonville area but was initially on the human side of medicine.  He is a trained Emergency Medical Technician who decided to put those skills to work in the animal world. In his free time, Phil enjoys spending time with his daughters, watching movies, and looking after his own large, fur family.

  • Dominique - Urgent Care Technician

    Dominique was born in the United Kingdom but was raised in the United States in the tri-state area of Maryland, Virginia, and our Nation's Capital. Since childhood, Dominique always knew she wanted to work with animals. She started in the veterinary field in 2008 in a general veterinary practice.  In 2009, Dominique obtained her Veterinary Assistant's degree and has  spent the last 8 years working in Urgent Care.  

    Dominique moved to Florida with her husband and 3 children to see what all the fuss was all about in the Sunshine State.  She is falling in love with the area although she does miss the snow (a little :) ).She has been part of the team at Capital Veterinary Specialists since early 2017. She herself has a fur family in addition to her pack of children.  She has a Persian mix named Dina and a Boxer/ Pitbull mix named Dexter.  In her free time, she loves visiting different beaches with her family.
