Jennifier - Internal Medicine Manager
Jennifer is originally from Buffalo, New York. She moved to Florida and began her veterinary career in general practice. Jennifer began with a focus on shelter medicine in an effort to broaden her knowledge base. She transitioned into the specialist field in 2008 working in the field of Internal Medicine. She particularly enjoys intensive nursing and caring for animals on their road to recovery. Jennifer also enjoys scrapbooking, dancing, and enjoying the Florida sunshine. She and her son share an immense love for all animals, and, together, they care for their labs. Butters and Dutton.

Monica -Lead Internal Medicine Technician
Monica is originally from Louisiana but has lived in Jacksonville most of her life. She started working in the field when she was 15 years old and now has over 11 years of experience! She graduated college with an Associates Degree in Science and specialized in Veterinary Technology. Recently married, she shares her home with her sweetheart Chad and her large fur family: two dogs (Archie, a yellow Lab, and Wendy, a German Shepherd/ Chow Mix) and 4 cats ( Dixie, Elsie, Sammy, and Kenny). Monica spends most of her free time at the beach and watching football. She also enjoys outdoor activities such as 4 wheeling, fishing, hunting, and sitting by an outdoor fire.

Michelle -Lead Internal Medicine Technician
Michelle is originally from Daytona but has lived in Jacksonville for a number of years. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Florida. She is a seasoned technician having been in the veterinary field for over 6 years. She is truly passionate about animals. She is the proud mother of a dog named Copper and 2 cats named Tom and Jerry. On the weekends, she enjoys boating, cooking, and curling up with her fur babies to watch movies.

Amanda - Internal Medicine Technician
Amanda was born in Hialeah, Florida but grew up in the Pembroke Pines area. She started her career in general practice working her way up into a Management position. We are thankful that after 4 years in Management, she decided to make the jump to Specialty Medicine joining Capital Veterinary Specialists JAX at the start of the year! She is highly skilled and is working towards her CVT licensure.
In her free time, you can find her relaxing at home with her husband Luis and their 2 Border Collies (Jameson and Arya) and their 3 kitties (Edgar, Lyla, and Kirra).

Lauren - Critical Care Technician
Lauren grew up in Baltimore, Maryland but moved to Jacksonville during high school. She knew from an early age she wanted to work with animals. She has always cared for furry creatures and exotic animals. She began her career in veterinary medicine 10 years ago and loves being a part of the Internal Medicine squad.
Lauren spends all of her free time with her adorable son and their English Bulldog Winston. They enjoy spending time at the beach and simply being with family and friends.

Luis - Critical Care Technician
Luis is originally from the Dominican Republic. He moved to Miami in 1994 and went on to the University of South Florida where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Zoology. He moved back home after school and earned his certification in Business Management. He has always had a passion for animals and worked for 10 years managing veterinary general practices. We are happy he joined our team early this year with his lovely wife Amanda!
On the weekends, he can be found spoiling his wife, 2 dogs (Jameson and Arya) and their 3 kitties (Edgar, Lyla, and Kirra).

Jes Internal Medicine Technician
Jes was born in Danville, IL. and moved to Florida 2001. She brings with her experience in general practice and oncology. She enjoys the outdoors with her 3 dogs (Kai-Shihtzu, Bailey-Beagle mix and Kida-American bully) hiking, kayaking and camping.
