Jennifier - Internal Medicine Team LeaderJennifer is originally from Buffalo, New York. She moved to Florida 16 years ago and began her veterinary career in general practice. Jennifer began with a focus on shelter medicine in an effort to broaden her knowledge base. She transitioned into the specialist field in 2008 working in the field of Internal Medicine. She particularly enjoys intensive nursing and caring for animals on their road to recovery. Jennifer also enjoys scrapbooking, dancing, and enjoying the Florida sunshine. She and her son share an immense love for all animals, and, together, they care for Anabelle (a rescued Beagle/ Australian Shepherd mix), Butter (a rescued Pitbull mix), and Gomez (a rescued DSH cat).
Monica - Internal Medicine Technician
Monica is originally from Louisiana but has lived in Jacksonville most of her life. She started working in the field when she was 15 years old and now has over 11 years of experience! She graduated college with an Associates Degree in Science and specialized in Veterinary Technology. Recently married, she shares her home with her sweetheart Chad and her large fur family: two dogs (Archie, a yellow Lab, and Wendy, a German Shepherd/ Chow Mix) and 4 cats ( Dixie, Elsie, Sammy, and Kenny). Monica spends most of her free time at the beach and watching football. She also enjoys outdoor activities such as 4 wheeling, fishing, hunting, and sitting by an outdoor fire.
Amanda - Internal Medicine Technician
Amanda was born in Hialeah, Florida but grew up in the Pembroke Pines area. She started her career in general practice working her way up into a Management position. We are thankful that after 4 years in Management, she decided to make the jump to Specialty Medicine joining Capital Veterinary Specialists JAX at the start of the year! She is highly skilled and is working towards her CVT licensure.
In her free time, you can find her relaxing at home with her husband Luis and their 2 Border Collies (Jameson and Arya) and their 3 kitties (Edgar, Lyla, and Kirra).

Lauren - Internal Medicine Technician
Lauren grew up in Baltimore, Maryland but moved to Jacksonville during high school. She knew from an early age she wanted to work with animals. She has always cared for furry creatures and exotic animals. She began her career in veterinary medicine 10 years ago and loves being a part of the Internal Medicine squad.
Lauren spends all of her free time with her adorable son and their English Bulldog Winston. They enjoy spending time at the beach and simply being with family and friends.
Lindsay - Internal Medicine Technician
Lindsay is a native of Jacksonville and loves the Florida sun. She enjoys spending time at the beach after hours as well as shopping and going to the movies with her 10 year old son. She is also the proud mother of 3 dogs and 2 cats. She has always loved working with animals and has been in the veterinary field for the last 14 years.
Kristi - Critical Care Team Leader
Kristi was born in Pennsylvania but has lived in Jacksonville most of her life. She entered the veterinary workforce after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Central Florida. She has been an animal lover all of her life and is devoted to her own pampered pet named Lizzy, a Miniature Dachshund. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking and spending time at the beach.
Angel H. - Critical Care Technician
Angel is a true Jacksonville native. She started her career in veterinary medicine 6 years ago and joined Capital Veterinary Specialists Jax in 2018. She had no choice in developing her love for animals after growing up in a 4 bedroom home with 36 animals! She truly loves nursing animals back to health and is a valued member of our team.
In her free time, Angel enjoys Cross Fit and hanging out with her Church Group. She is the proud mother of 2 children and one Boxer/ Mastiff mix named Cleo.
Angelica - Critical Care Technician
Angel is part of a military family 3 generations deep and proudly serves as a member of the Naval Reserve. Within the service, she is a Master at Arms and has been involved in training military service dogs. She has been working with animals since the age of 17 and has loved honing her veterinary technical skills at Capital Veterinary Specialists Jax. In her free time, she enjoys sharpening her skills at the range. At home, Angel is surrounded by a large fur family with 2 dogs (Emmie and Ollie), 3 cats (Meeko, Burrito, and Lawrence), and a rat named Maggie.
Chandler - Critical Care Technician
Chandler is a true Jacksonville native. She entered the field of veterinary medicine 8 years ago after discovering her passion for working with animals. She loves the nursing care involved and making a difference in the lives of our four-legged friends. In her free time, Chandler cares for her own furry, canine friend named Atlas.
Jeanna - Critical Care Technician
Jeanna is originally from Savannah, GA but moved here with her husband in 3 years ago. She has been working in the veterinary field for the last 5 years starting as a receptionist and moving on to a technician. She has experience in both general practice and emergency medicine. She started working with us this past June with hopes of broadening her horizons in veterinary medicine. She has aspirations of becoming a veterinarian herself one day.
Outside of Capital, she enjoys reading, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. She is the proud owner of three cats: Biscuit the grey tabby, Gravy the tripod, and Callie the calico.
Luis - Critical Care Technician
Luis is originally from the Dominican Republic. He moved to Miami in 1994 and went on to the University of South Florida where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Zoology. He moved back home after school and earned his certification in Business Management. He has always had a passion for animals and worked for 10 years managing veterinary general practices. We are happy he joined our team early this year with his lovely wife Amanda!
On the weekends, he can be found spoiling his wife, 2 dogs (Jameson and Arya) and their 3 kitties (Edgar, Lyla, and Kirra).
Tierra - Critical Care Technician
Tierra is originally from Montgomery, Alabama. She moved to Jacksonville and graduated from Paxon High School from their Advanced Studies program. She is currently attending Auburn University. She was raised by an aspiring vet, discovered her true passion in animals, and now wants to help the furry population in any way she can!
Tierra is a happy furmama to five furbabies. She has 3 puppies (Saban, Wendy, and Caspar) and 2 kitties (Scully and Mulder) which keep her fairly busy after-hours.
