Our Board Certified Veterinary Anesthesiologist, Dr. Andre Shih, is here to minimize the risk associated with anesthesia and surgical procedures and to provide the highest standard of care available for your pet. All animals undergoing surgery have some risk. Some animals carry a greater risk than others due to their age, size, breed or overall health. Dr. Shih's main goal is to safely administer anesthesia tailored to your pet's individual needs.
Dr. Shih and his team will monitor your pet's heart function, breathing, and blood pressure and will monitor for and anticipate any potential complications. They are committed to ensuring your pet's safety.
Additionally, our Anesthesiologist, Dr. Shih, is here to safely provide analgesia (pain control) to maximize your pets comfort before and after surgery. Anesthesiologists are trained experts in pain management and work to relieve the pain and stress of surgical procedures. Our Anesthesiology service is here to work hand in hand with our Surgeons to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet.
